I’m Margaret,
the baker behind Rosehill Cake Studio.
The look on my daughter’s face when she first glimpsed her wedding cake was priceless. It was a moment full of emotion and shared joy.
From my studio in Lancashire, I now create moments like my daughter’s for couples and individuals who enjoy curated, meaningful and exceptional experiences. My couples often love food and travel, but above all, they appreciate attention to detail and design.
From a career in education to training with the
World’s best cake artists
Working in schools for most of my career was a role I thoroughly enjoyed, but I knew I was destined for a different path.
I’ve always enjoyed baking for my family, and in 2016, I enrolled on a weekly cake course to help me create my daughter’s wedding cake as I wanted to make the cake of her dreams. The planning, prep and experimentation took over 12 months, but it was worth it - I’d found my calling.
After discovering just how creative I could be with cake, Rosehill Cake Studio was born. Since then, I’ve heavily invested in training with some of the world’s best cake and sugar flower artists to produce highly detailed cakes focusing on texture and flavour.

Eating delicious food is like having a warm hug. Nothing is better than sitting around a table heaving with delicious food, surrounded by friends and family.
My Grandma was an excellent cook. She showed her love by sharing her delicious recipes, often spending hours in the kitchen. I love recreating food memories, like making my husband a special hot chocolate, transporting him back to the Italian Alps.
When couples trust me with their wedding cake, I’m honoured. Learning about your wedding day is personal and intimate, so I pour my soul into creating cakes that perfectly complement your vision. I work hard to develop a trusting relationship with you to share your excitement leading to your wedding day.

People describe me as a luxury wedding cake designer, but luxury means different things to different people. To me, luxury means curated, personalised, attention to detail and unique. Translated to a wedding cake, we’re talking exquisite designs, mouthwatering taste, and using the finest ingredients.
But most importantly, I see luxury as building a caring and trusted relationship with my clients from the moment they meet me to the day I reveal their wedding cake.
My unique strengths are sugar flower work and texture, both highly developed technical skills. I’ve been lucky to enjoy extensive training with world-leading sugar work artists such as Maggie Austin and cake texture designers such as Marina Machado.
Think delicate sugar flowers cascading over your cake, lovingly created to match your bouquet, outfit, or the seasons, and bold, modern textures and fresh, vibrant flavours.

Cutting the cake is hugely symbolic and the first act as a married couple.
Although it’s an intimate moment for you, it’s also a display.
Everyone is watching, cameras are flashing, and
expectations are high. You may want a modern take on a traditional wedding cake or something more unusual with modern design elements.
Presenting a wedding cake for the first time gives me the greatest pleasure.
I never tire of watching people’s faces when they see their ideas and months of planning translated into reality.
